A journey of recovery
About Paul's Paws
In 2020, like many people, my life took an unexpected turn. After the pandemic and suffering a major heart attack, I was forced to reassess what truly brought me happiness and fulfillment. As part of my recovery, I began walking regularly to regain my strength and improve my health. What started as simple walks for my recovery soon became something much more meaningful when I began walking dogs as a way to not only heal my body but also uplift my spirit.
These walks became a source of joy and connection, reminding me of the simple pleasures of life—spending time outdoors, experiencing companionship, and seeing the world through the eyes of a dog. The dogs I walked weren’t just exercise partners; they were a huge part of my healing process. Their companionship, energy, and joy brought me back to life in a way I didn’t expect. What began as a side hustle for extra income turned into a passion that reignited my love for animals and for life itself.
Now, I’ve decided to turn that passion into something official. I’ve built my business around the principles that helped me recover: creating meaningful experiences, building strong relationships, and taking time to truly care for the well-being of the dogs I work with. My approach is simple: I focus on individual dogs, or small groups of familiar friends, ensuring they get the personalized attention, love, and enrichment they deserve—because, like me, every dog has their own unique journey toward happiness and health.
